Number of resident page slots (the VRAM budget).

LOD levels (from the coarsest down) to pin resident — guarantees a base layer.

Predictive prefetch: extrapolate the camera by this factor of its last per-frame motion and also stream the pages that future view wants, so detail is resident before you arrive. 0 (default) disables it. ~8–20 is a reasonable lead.
