  Loads a baked snapshot from tools/geo/bake_tle.mjs.

  Streams the current catalogue live from CelesTrak GP JSON (OMM). CelesTrak is rate-limited (one download per 2 h update) and not reliably CORS-open, so in the browser this usually needs the server/ relay; pass a proxied baseUrl for that.

  Parameters

  • opts: { baseUrl?: string; groups?: string[] } = {}

    • OptionalbaseUrl?: string

      GP endpoint base (default the CelesTrak public URL).

    • Optionalgroups?: string[]

      GP groups to merge, in increasing tag priority.

  Returns Promise<SatelliteCatalog>

propagate

• propagate(date: Date): void

  Propagates every object to date (real UTC), refreshing ecef (metres), alive, sunlit, altitudeKm and speedKmS. O(count); the caller throttles the cadence.

  Parameters

pack

• pack(opts: SatellitePackOptions): SatelliteInstances

  Packs the currently visible objects into an instance buffer for the render feature, applying the ECEF→world transform and the group colours/sizes. Reuses an internal buffer across calls. Call after propagate each frame.

indexOfNorad
